Hi, I’m Jessica! I live in Dublin, Ohio, not too far from where I grew up, with my fluffy pet bunny, Marshmallow. I’m the creator, food and prop stylist, photographer, taste tester (prob the best part), and recipe developer behind Luxe and the Lady. When I first started my Instagram account almost 5 years ago I had no real goal in mind. I was obsessed with beauty subscription boxes, and wanted a way to share what I was receiving while connecting with other people who loved them too. There were only so many methods for photographing an open box of beauty products though, and so over time I began to play with styling to make the pictures more visually interesting, and that led to my love for flatlays. From there, I added in homemade props, and then treats, which became the thing that just clicked for me. Creativity is what drives me. While some artists use watercolors or film to bring their ideas to life, I like to use my favorite thing of all, food.

Although I enjoy eating healthy 85% of the time, I believe life is all about balance, so I’m sharing a mix of my favorite raw, vegan, refined sugar free, and gluten free recipes here as well as donuts and other sweets, and because food should be fun, I’ll also show you how to turn everything into a cute character or animal. When I’m not playing with my food , you can find me working out (have to burn off those treats somehow), at the park, or most likely at the grocery store trying not to mess up the displays while looking for the perfect pieces of fruit to turn into ears and eyes.
